Ladies and Gentlemen,
Good morning and welcome to the 7th Knowledge Sharing and Validation Workshop for the Annual Flagship Progress Report for 2019/2020. I would like to begin by thanking each of you for accepting our invitation and for your ongoing commitment to the realization of Kenya Vision 2030.
The Knowledge Sharing Workshop is an annual event that gathers key stakeholders from Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) to review and discuss the implementation of Vision 2030. This workshop serves as a platform for sharing experiences, emerging practices, and new insights on how we can fast-track our progress toward achieving the Vision 2030 goals. It is through such forums that we can collectively reflect on our efforts and make informed decisions on how to accelerate progress.
This year’s theme, “Delivering Amidst Disruptions,” is particularly timely as it recognizes the unique challenges brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic. The disruptions caused by this unprecedented event – a “black swan” as it has been described – have forced us to rethink and adapt our approaches to service delivery and development. Despite these challenges, the commitment to realizing Vision 2030 remains unwavering. We gather today to deliberate on how best to fulfill our mandates amidst the disruptions, ensuring that we continue to make progress in all sectors of the economy.
It is in this context that VDS together with the MDA’s present will undertake validation of the progress report.

As part of our mandate to monitor and evaluate the progress of Vision 2030 flagship projects, the Vision 2030 Delivery Secretariat (VDS) is in the process of finalizing the Annual Flagship Progress Report for the Financial Year 2019/2020. Today, we seek to validate this report with your participation and input, ensuring that it reflects the true progress and challenges encountered in the implementation of flagship projects.
Acknowledgments
Before concluding, I would like to take a moment to recognize and thank the Monitoring and Evaluation Directorate for their technical support and dedication in developing this report. Their contributions have been invaluable in tracking our progress and ensuring that we remain aligned with the Vision 2030 objectives.
At the Secretariat, we remain deeply committed to leading the implementation and realization of Vision 2030 goals. We look forward to finalizing, publishing, and disseminating the report to all stakeholders. This report will not only inform policy formulation but also encourage greater participation by all Kenyans in the journey toward achieving Vision 2030.
Together, we can ensure that the Vision 2030 dream becomes a reality. Thank you for your time, your efforts, and your continued dedication to the success of this initiative.
Thank you.
